ABOUT THE WELMETRIX SYSTEM

Welmetrix is a platform designed to provide clinicians, objective data to help make informed decisions on patient progress.

The company’s platform uses a small, wireless motion sensor coupled with proprietary signal processing and AI algorithms, which feeds a responsive web application.

It works by collecting data on the motion of a patient’s body as they go through a set of prescribed exercises during their clinical visits. After which, the data is analyzed to provide key objective measures that clinicians can use as a marker of injury rehabilitation progress, enabling clinicians to more effectively treat their patients.

The sleek, simple one sensor design makes it easy to implement into any clinical setting.

Welmetrix is billable under most insurance.

THE DOCTOR BEHIND THE WELMETRIX

Michael April, M.D. has an engineering degree from Johns Hopkins University and an M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia. While in college, Dr. April was involved in robotics research. After completing a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rusk Institute at the New York University Hospital, he has been in practice for 31 years specializing in sports medicine and pain management.

The company’s platform uses a small, wireless motion sensor coupled with proprietary signal processing and AI algorithms, which feeds a responsive web application.

Dr. April has presented at national meetings on the use of technology in medicine, pain management, and treatment of sports injuries. He believes technology can be an important asset in evaluating and treating patients with musculoskeletal problems.
